Why did the Sasquatch Cross the Road?

Image
This of all the reported Bigfoot sightings in the world intrigues me the most. Why does the most elusive of all creatures on earth cross the road? Seriously, why? We know why the chicken did. But why a Bigfoot? I have read somewhere that they follow pathways in the woods created for power lines possibly because of the ease. But is crossing a road a shortcut for them also?Or is it because of man's demand for development that we are leaving them no choice because our roads keep popping up In the routes they have been following for years. Do they understand what the roads mean? Or are they just as shocked to see your car as you are seeing them? Holy s**t is that a Bigfoot!?!  There was an article recently about an ape that was extremely afraid of water. But because of our constant encroachment they were forced to cross the river. And there was a picture of the scared ape in the water to go with it. And I thought is that why Sasquatch is crossing the road? Is he in someway desper

Death of the Sasquatch Researcher?

Where is Sasquatch? Didn't you follow him? How did you get started?       ( Lines with my craziness included from Death of a Salesman). Once upon a time. There was a great time to love myths and monsters and thinking that our dream of finding him will live on forever as long as we don't give up looking. And no one conclusively proves they don't exist.  Sasquatch is lost in the greatest country in the world. Now there is just no mystery and wonder to the world anymore. Science is slowly crushing that dream. Being a sasquatch seeker (trying to get away from saying, hunter.) is just so hard because all you hear is that hair is a horse hair and that print is a hoax. The disillusionment is taking a toll on us. And what of the toll on our families? What are we possibly giving up on to pursue him? Are we missing out on great memories we should be making with them? If our children are interested in cryptozoology do we want to pass this dream on to them?   We are our worst ene

Who are the People in your Neighborhood..

I have a confession to make. I totally loved Sesame Street, loved The Count and doing The Batty Bat. It’s the first show that teaches you about different communities and people. All while singing great songs. I, fortunately for all of you., do not have a good Bigfoot song to sing as of yet. But I still want to talk about his community. It’s been a couple months now since I submerged myself in his world. Books, movies, documentaries. But the best part for me has been the social component. There are many pages, groups, forums, etc. And I joined many. I wanted as much information as I could get. I was finally freeing myself of any care of what people thought of me and I was loving it baby. Some group pages wanted me to answer questions. And that was great because I took a good look at myself then too. And I answered every question as honestly as I could. At first, I just read posts and watched videos. I wasn’t sure of my voice in all of this yet. And after all I was the newbie to the

If you grew up in and around the 70s or 80s. Then you really got an education in what a cult was. There were many. Jonestown may have been the worse, but anytime you give your mind over to other people to control, it never ends well. As I watch these things unfold I’m thinking; what is wrong with you people? Hello! Are you in there? How can they all fall for this nonsense? But people do and the ones in charge know just who to prey on. The poor, the lonely and the lost of the world. The people we as a society should be helping, are being left vulnerable for these cults to come in and do their thing. So while doing all my Sasquatch research, imagine my surprise to see a cult-like group named after our protector of the forest. This group that's caught my attention is called the Sasquatch People. This group has a leader guiding them through their lives, giving his followers different goals to achieve planetary stewardship. I assume he comes up with ideas after he talks to the Alien

Squatch and the Inevitable Stigma..

Since I was a child I loved everything Bigfoot and definitely believed he was in every forest. I was maybe a tad. Just a tad frightened of him too back then. (Do not tell anyone that part please). But I remember even from way back then. That I had no intention of sharing that little tidbit with anyone that I wasn’t related to by blood. It was my safe place. My family was very open to unexplained phenomena.  If the lights flicked out in the house, it was ghosts. If there was a strange light in the sky, it was UFOs and lastly if you heard a noise in the woods it was Sasquatch. It never occurred to me first that it was something normal like a power outage. So as you can imagine I was weird enough without exposing this little nugget of info. When I got a little older I didn’t want to lose my cool card. So again, sorry big man still wasn’t sharing. And lastly as an adult I was a teacher sooo parents may be a little concerned if their child’s teacher is the crazy Bigfoot lady. No judgmen

I have always considered myself more of an agnostic when it comes to believing the unbelievable. Show me the proof! Of course, in all things except where Yeti, Sasquatch and Bigfoot are concerned. Sometimes its really nice to have belief in something that may not have that undeniable evidence to support it. It’s that hopeful feeling at the back of your brain that gives you that "Christmas morning" buzz. Waiting to hear the test results of a woodsy hair sample, or footprint DNA residue.  And I hope in light of all these unsupportive test results coming in, that  science really doesn’t dampen that excitement. Do I really want the evidence that may prove that he doesn’t exist? It will be the same horrible feeling like it was with the "Santa talk". Science and faith. An age old battle going on as long as good and evil. When it comes to other areas of science, I can’t wait to see what they will discover next. But in this I have my worries. And I admit, I enjoy the an

Love, Monsters and my First Impressions

Don’t Judge a book by its cover. Not just a silly phrase, but truer words were never spoken. Pretty much something you work hard not to do all your life. But with that you still have to admit first impressions matter. So when I first saw the trailer for Love in the Time of Monsters. I was not impressed. I thought to myself, great. Another stinker. But I continued for two reasons one Kane Hodder was in it. (Jason Vorhees) to anyone who knows anything about that genre. And because stupid things can right their own posts pretty well. With out much thought on the part of the writer. When the plot started to form I thought woohoo this movie wants  to be silly. I was much more relaxed then. The plot summary is as follows; a couple runs a vacation resort in California based on Bigfoot. There are like 5 guys that dress up as Bigfoot and stalk the place. Love it! The Bigfoot characters get exposed to an area of illegal dumping of toxic waste in a marsh on the property, and it makes th
