How old are you now?
There are birthday parties and then there are birthday parties. For instance, your 16th’ and 21st are ones to celebrate. The next time you celebrate with your friends, remember that you're celebrating that you're still alive. Humans have to learn to find those happy mediums like a happy birthday you're old enough to drink now but not so old it will make you sick on those blood pressure meds your taking.
But how do you measure your time on this earth without those pesky parties? Would we enjoy life more if we weren't keeping a score card? And then adding bucket lists to make it more stressful. I mean if you never knew how old you were and didn't need to make lists, you could get on with the business of actually living. For instance, bucket lists have to be completed before you're so old you can't do them. Now you're too old to do things before you even die!
But if you are ageless and timeless, the sky could be the limit. There are debates on both the ageless and the timeless possibilities with Bigfoot. Does he travel through dimensions or does he flesh and blood age like the rest of us? I am in love with the idea that he is an old wise soul. Has seen it all and humans and humanity hold no interest to them beyond trying to avoid us. But everything living must die at some point. Even the earth will end in some fashion or another, right?
But what do researchers and scientists believe about the age of bigfoot? There are some that think Bigfoot is inter-dimensional, crossing between two worlds. If he is crossing between two worlds, is he also crossing in and out of time? Could we have potentially seen the same Bigfoot in a span of, say, a hundred years or more?
The Native Americans believe that Sasquatch is more of the spirit world. A guide and protector of the forests and its creatures that we humans are slowly destroying.
Although it is without a doubt the least discussed of all cave drawings, there have been many depicting what can only be described as Sasquatch-like creatures. I'm sure, however, that it will never be spoken aloud in the archaeology community.
Now if we turn to living creatures I found one that has lived for 10,000 years. Granted it lives quietly at the bottom of the ocean but the Glass Sponge does live. Tortoises over 200 years and the Immortal Jellyfish ages backward. I could go on - the mollusk 500 years, Greenland sharks over 200 years. Primates, I was surprised to learn, didn't live as long as I'd thought.
In the Hebrew Bible, the oldest living human documented was Methuselah, Grandfather of Noah. Living to the age of 969 years old in the time before the flood. Though obviously, we humans are living longer and longer as more medical breakthroughs take place. But we are not even coming close to that. If our lifespan was one like a possible Bigfoot lifespan and we aren't exposed to diseases, food preservatives, and overall disregard for our human life, how long could we live for then?
I know everyone's frustration with not having accepted proof out there. But if the cost is harming one of these gentle old souls then I can live with them being on the same page with the unicorns. I know how I feel and what I believe and that's enough for me. So, I'll keep the image of him roaming free, wild, and timeless in the forests of the world, and just hope I can join him there every once and awhile.
This post is dedicated to Billy William the cat. My sister’s and her Children’s sweet kitty. You were a gentle old soul of 18. And as much a member of this family as any other. I'm sorry you were called away tonight. I don't think I've ever met a cat with more love to give. Roam wild and free Billy William.
