Bigfoot costumes best and worst

Image
So it’s Halloween. I’m sitting here binging on Mike Myers movies (sorry big guy) and I started thinking about horror movie characters and their best costumes ever etc. you get where I’m going with this. So now I’m thinking about best and worst costumes of Bigfoot. From movies to hoaxes. And this is what I came up with. The best costume, mostly because I don’t believe it is a costume, is from the original Patterson  and Gimlin video. And happy 50th by the way. Imagine that, 50 years and no one can disprove it's authenticity. That video started it all for me, and for many of you, I’m sure. In the horror film realm I would have to say the creature from movie " Exists ". Great movie and great costume. Keep an eye out for my review of the film soon. I may never go to cabin in the woods again.. Now there is the worst costumes to think of.  My worst for Bigfoot in movies will be - costumes from the movie "American Bigfoot", AKA "Kampout". My review of that

Return to Bridgewater..after 7 days we said we will go when it’s light!

Image
Well we did it. My sister and I returned to Bridgewater Triangle. Specifically, the Freetown Forest. It was a beautiful sunny fall day. A great day to trample through the forest. All along in my mind, even though I was smiling and happy. in my head I was singing; “If you go down in the woods today..” But we did go down in those woods today. And I’m proud to say, even though I’m a bit of a chicken when it comes to this Sasquatch hunting thing. I still did it! If you read my first post The Night The Lights Went out in Bridgewater , then you know a little bit about the Freetown Forest, but if you didn’t, then I will tell you that The Freetown Forest is known for all things paranormal as well as sightings of Bigfoot himself. And I can tell you that he picked a good spot to hide. In the above picture, I snapped a pic of my sister just a couple feet ahead of me. I bet you can’t find her in this shot. This is a good explanation of why some claim to have taken pictures of the big man, but

Mr Sasquatch goes to Washington

Image
While technically Sasquatch is going to Washington. He is going to Washington State by way of  British Columbia. Todd Standing, a Sasquatch believer and a man hunting for him most of his life is taking his long standing (pun intended) belief into the courtroom. His case is stating that The Province failed to protect all wildlife within its borders and wants to take a crew of professionals out into the forest to prove once and for all that Sasquatch does exist and makes his home In the Province’s vast forest as well as Alberta. Standing says he has the evidence to make his claim. He is going to court with eyewitnesses, video proof and wildlife professional’s testimony. He will be taking this Case to Alberta and Washington State as well.  If you consider the amount of criminals that have been convicted with even less evidence. How can he possibly lose. He could have brought in thousands of witnesses, foot molds and many experts. If you can’t prove that he doesn’t exist beyond a shado

American Bigfoot in Ohio

Image
This is one of those movies that just leaves you feeling uncomfortable and dirty. I went in knowing that this was low budget, but come on! I was getting a little nervous thinking this was possibly a porno I rented by accident. Bigfoot does Ohio maybe. But then Zach appeared. I thought thank god. Gremlin’s guy wouldn’t do a porno, right? Well he didn’t, but he managed to leave me feeling dirty anyway. Ladies you watch a few minutes and you’ll know what I mean. The movie was written and directed by Glenn Martin. And also called Kampout. That is also the name of the campground in the movie a group of teens are headed too. And the sheriff needs to go save them from a vengeful Sasquatch. The overall plot I think was about a Sasquatch getting run over by a woman and the big man wanted revenge. And I’m probably already lending more credit to the plot then is actually there. The creature itself was ridiculous. This was one of those, did they use a Chewbacca costume moments.  This movie was

The Squatch Challenge

Image
Are you a Bigfoot hunter or enthusiast? Can you handle being alone in the woods in the middle of the Canadian Forest for 24 hours? Well than I found a vacation just for you. On Halloween night, Butiq Escapes is offering a Squatch challenge.  Can you survive for 24 hours in the woods looking for Sasquatch without hitting the SOS  button to be evacuated? Well at first I thought, that would be awesome! But then I remembered my trip to Bridgewater triangle. That was a challenge for me too. Can I hang out in that area for a bit looking for the big man without running away like a chicken hawk? Answer was-not for to long. Every noise or sound had me ready to run. Sorry to say I might be a chicken hawk. I love the idea but I would need an army, (or a really good hunter) lots of flashlights and quite possibly my mother in order to survive the night.  But many of you hunters I’ve been talking to lately could do this with one rifle tied behind your back. So if your interested follow the link

If Bigfoot and Predator had a baby

Okay, I finally got a chance to sneak in another movie. This one was called Embedded. Written  and directed by Micheal Bafaro. The gist of the story is a reporter and camera man get demoted from war reporting to small time small town reporting. They are covering a story of a young boy who has gone missing In the woods. They “embed” themselves into the hunting and search party. Hence the name. While  they are  out searching they find some hunters bodies, and think they may have a grizzly on their hands. Spoiler alert here. It is not a grizzly. And what a monster it is. Different than any other Sasquatch we have seen before. This creature definitely looks like they crashed the studio storage room, stole part of a Predator costume and maybe part of those weird creatures in the movie Time Machine and blended them together. But with those couple of comparisons aside. This monster was scary! I enjoyed this movie. I don’t know what their budget was but they made it work. It gets going and d

Bigfoot And Elvis?

Image
Well. When this article was first sent to me (attached below) .I thought, great a new Bigfoot museum, and how cool a hotel with it! But then I read a little more and the wind was sucked from my sails. As much as I would love to see a new museum, see some new pieces and visit Glacier National Park. I’m not really liking the Vegas style of hotel being planned here. Tom Biscardi long time Bigfoot hunter and enthusiast and CEO of Bigfoot Project Investments is planning to merge a Vegas-like act he owns of Elvis and Micheal Jackson into this hotel. That, just for me, made what could have been a great trip to see this into something cheap and tacky. Bigfoot should not be sold out like Star Wars to Disney, There is only so much I can take.  Biscardi’s comment that he doesn’t want to give out an actual location right now so that “weekend warrior” Sasquatch hunters won’t come to location, well that just left a bad taste in my mouth. He supposedly believes in Bigfoot and is a “enthusiast” hims

The Night the Lights Went out in Bridgewater

Image
Well this morning I woke up tired and sore. Last night was a late night in the car and in the woods. Last night after dark, my sister and I went out to explore the Bridgewater triangle. The Bridgewater Triangle is approximately 200 miles of historical land and dense forestry in Massachusetts. The area is a known hotspot of all things paranormal and several Bigfoot sightings. The Bridgewater Triangle was named by Loren Coleman, a well known cryptozoologist in his book Mysterious America. The Triangle bosts a few historical landmarks; The Hockomock Swamp (pictured below) whose name means, “a place where spirits dwell”. Which is known for several Bigfoot sightings. The Dighton rock which is covered in symbols of ancient and unknown origin. Profile rock. Well that speaks for itself. And finally the dense forest of the Freetown State Forest It was this forest where our Saturday night adventure began. When we were approaching the area we noticed our gps kept flashing wh

Bigfoot has boobs!

Okay, yes I used a shameless heading to pull you in but the facts are still the facts. Bigfoot does have boobs. With the 50th anniversary looming Paul Harper from The Sun caught up with Cowboy who shot the film and he was quoted saying their first thoughts were “they do exist” and “it has boobs”. Check it out. Below is link to his article. 'BIGFOOT HAS BOOBS' Cowboy claims Sasquatch has large breasts and loves being filmed after capturing footage of mythical beast

Bigfoot hits tv again

There is yet another new show on the horizon that Bigfoot will have a role in. Most actors would kill for the steady work he gets. Check it out Expedition Mungo starts October 30th at 8:30 on Animal Planet.  http://bigfootmountain.blogspot.com/2017/10/bigfoot-hits-tv-again.html

Recent sighting

Image
Big foot has recently been sighted in Northern California and the picture is out there. https://www.google.com/amp/www.foxnews.com/tech/2017/10/17/bigfoot-reportedly-sighted-in-northern-california-pictures-go-viral.amp.html

Ummm

And I choose to stick with that heading cause umm what to say? This afternoon my girlfriend sent over this link to me and upon opening my immediate response was, “what the what?” But that is the completely insensitive me talking , so my next thought was read this man’s story who would want to make up a story like this?  This man was obviously traumatized, now I’m not sure Sasquatch is necessarily responsible, but something happened to him and I’m glad the police are taking it seriously.  If you have any information to assist in this case please contact the Glenwood Springs Police Department in Colorado. http://thehunterreviews.com/2017/10/colorado-hunter-claims-he-was-sexually-assaulted-by-a-sasquatch/

Bigfoot and Jane Goodall

While I can see a lot of people believing in Sasquatch including myself. Having a professional of the animal kingdom give it valadation is always good to hear. Here is a recent interview of Jane Goodall explaining her thoughts on the subject. http://kuow.org/post/sinful-scientist-jane-goodall-isn-t-ruling-out-sasquatch

Destination Bigfoot

Image
Well last night while having my usual bout of insomnia I stumbled on something great as i was changing channels running from infomercials. I caught episode 3 of Terror in the Woods. A new show from Destination America. If you are on Xfinity the channel is 233. The show shares stories of Bigfoot encounters and other spooky encounters. This episode was a retelling of a childhood encounter of Bigfoot while camping. Now it could be the over exhaustion or the late hour but if a dramatic reenacting can spook me then they are on to something. Stay tuned for another blog after i watch a few more.episodes. Terror in the Woods airs every Tuesday at 10 pm EST. Trailer of episode one

UFOs, Monsters, Bigfoot and George Kennedy Oh My! (Demonwarp Review)

Image
Demonwarp was a 1988 gem starring George Kennedy. Directed by Emmett Alston, A man (Kennedy) and his daughter were attacked by Bigfoot and the father is out on a mission to find her after her capture. Also a small group of friends are heading up to a cabin in the woods so one of them can find their missing uncle, unbeknownst  to rest of the group. and unfortunately for them they find out the hard way that them there woods are dangerous. The woods in the film are called the Demon woods because there have been strange occurrences for a hundred years. The film was actually shot on location in Topanga Canyon in Los Angeles.where despite its filming of monsters of all shapes and sizes have a relatively low record of actual sightings. Bigfoot in this movie actually has a good look unlike some and you see a lot of him in the film. This movie is clearly R rated because like all eighties horror movies there is gore and boobs aplenty. all writers in the eighties know don't leave home

Movie trailer: PRIMAL RAGE: The Legend of Oh-Mah

Image
Well this year I have something new to be thankful for. It seems November 10th we will have a limited theatrical release of a new Bigfoot film, Primal Rage-Legend of Oh Mah . Check out trailer below. It is promising to put a new twist to the Bigfoot myth. It looks like they may have had a larger budget than all the other Bigfoot films so far, and the creature, from what I glimpsed, seems to be something you don't want to come upon in the woods. I'm not sure any of the Bigfoots are something I want to bang into. My hope is we finally prove to skeptics the big man is real, so long is it's not  my discovery.

Film review: Uwharrie

Happy Friday everyone, I spent Thursday night as you know watching "Uwharri". Filmed on location I believe at Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina. This film is from the "found footage" genre which as you know can be really hit or m miss. It was a short movie - around 45 minutes. With some of these movies I've watched, that can be more than enough. The premise of the movie is a friend taking his good buddy camping for his bachelor party. I'm telling all my friends now if I get married the woods is not going to be plan for my celebration. And on their first day, they see what they think is a Sasquatch. They are not sure if  it is real or some kind of a joke, later that night they hear a noise and shadows on their tent. Fast forward to morning and in Blair Witch fashion they are left a little surprise outside their tent. Then the fun begins.. What I loved about the film was its length, getting right to the point. And having bigfoot everywhere. It is low
